Quercus Talented Students' Programme
The Quercus Talented Students' Programme is designed to create an environment in which academic excellence can be combined with opportunities for personal development. The programme recognises and supports students who demonstrate exceptional talent and achievement in various fields, including innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Quercus Talented Students' Programme is committed to enhancing the innovation and entrepreneurial achievements of young people, as well as making a positive impact on the future of the Irish economy. The programme provides a wide range of academic, financial, personal, and other supports to help students develop their talents and achieve their full potential.
Am I Eligible?
To be eligible for the Quercus Scholarship for Innovation/Entrepreneurship, students must:
- Meet the minimum entry requirements (matriculation) of their desired undergraduate/level 8 programme
- Be able to provide evidence of sustained engagement in innovative/entrepreneurial activities
- Have evidence of achievement and/or impact of an innovative or entrepreneurial nature
- Have the potential to develop that excellence in their chosen field
- Have had recognition at local, regional, national, or international level
- Be expected to act as ambassadors for UCC and the Quercus Programme in terms of their participation in their chosen field
Scholarship Benefits
The Quercus Scholarship for Innovation/Entrepreneurship provides a range of benefits, including:
- Reduced CAO points entry (if required)
- Campus Accommodation (for students outside a certain proximity from campus)
- Waiver of 3,000 Student Contribution Fee
- Bursary

How Do I Apply?
To apply for a Quercus Scholarship, students must:
- Be either a registered undergraduate UCC student or applicant for an undergraduate/level 8 programme at University College Cork
- Read the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Terms of Reference & Memorandum of Understanding
- Submit an application through the online portal
- Applications are open for 2026/27 and will close at 4:30pm on Wednesday, February 4th 2026
