نظرة عامة على البرنامج
Master Universitario di II livello Design & Operational Management
The Master in Design & Operational Management: operational excellence in the era of digitalization - Industry 5.0 aims to contribute to the training of graduate students who intend to deepen the technical and managerial themes of the aerospace industry, necessary to effectively address the challenges posed by the Industry 5.0 paradigm.
Objectives
The program aims to create a new figure of an engineer specialized in supporting the 5.0 transformation with a broad vision of the entire aircraft development process, from conception to analysis of the production process and aircraft management during operations.
Industry 5.0
In the aerospace industry, Industry 5.0 means advanced human-machine collaboration, combining human intelligence with AI and robotics capabilities to produce more personalized, safe, efficient, and sustainable products. This approach, based on the foundations of Industry 4.0, emphasizes the centrality of human beings, worker well-being, and specific attention to sustainability and resilience.
Key Characteristics of Industry 5.0 in Aerospace
- Human-Machine Cooperation: workers actively collaborate with intelligent robots and autonomous systems, improving creativity, empathy, and problem-solving capabilities that machines cannot.
- Centrality of Human Beings: humans are not just supervisors but central figures who make decisions, collaborate with machines, and benefit from a safer and more stimulating work environment.
- Sustainability and Resilience: low-impact production processes are promoted, using renewable energies and creating a more resilient and less polluting economy.
- Digital Twin: widely used to design and test aerospace component prototypes in high-precision virtual environments, improving safety and efficiency.
- Personalization: the flexibility of systems allows for the creation of personalized aerospace products based on specific consumer requests, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Growth of Competences: requires workers to acquire new skills to work with advanced technologies, focusing on creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Why is it Important for the Aerospace Sector?
The adoption of Industry 5.0 allows aerospace companies to address the challenges of a highly competitive sector, improving innovation, product quality, and operational safety. The combination of human capabilities and advanced technologies leads to increased productivity and a greater ability to adapt to changing market demands, all with a focus on sustainability.
