Program Overview

The Multicultural Co-learning in Taiwan program is designed to address the social issue of overtourism in Jiufen, Taiwan. This program offers participants the opportunity to engage in on-site field research, explore the attractive aspects of the area, and co-create a new tour proposal with students from partner universities in Taiwan.

Program Details

• Dates: March 7 (Sat) – March 21 (Sat), 2026
• Capacity: 10 participants (registration will close once full)
• Cost: 196,720 JPY (with a 60,000 JPY subsidy available for participating students)
• Eligibility: Undergraduate and Master's students

Program Objectives

The program aims to provide a platform for multicultural co-learning, where participants can work together to find solutions to the issue of overtourism in Jiufen, Taiwan. Through field research and collaboration with local students, participants will develop a new tour proposal that showcases the area's attractions while addressing the social issue at hand.
