Lineare Algebra I (Linear Algebra I)
Target Group and Exam Relevance
The course Lineare Algebra I is a mandatory course for students in the Bachelor's program in Mathematics and is also relevant for the orientation exam.
Learning Objectives
The course provides an introduction to the theory of linear algebra, which has many applications in analysis, algebra, optimization, differential equations, and numerics. Students will learn the most important concepts of linear algebra, such as linear equations, vector spaces, bases, and diagonalization.
Lecture
The lecture will cover the topics of linear algebra and provide explanations and examples. Students are expected to read the material on Moodle before the lecture to deepen their understanding.
Exam
There will be a written exam at the end of the course. To be admitted to the exam, students must have achieved 50% of the exercise points. Participation in the second exam is also possible without participating in the first exam.
Literature
- Fischer, G.: Lineare Algebra, Eine EinfŁhrung fŁr Studienanfšnger (Linear Algebra, An Introduction for Beginners)
- Fischer, G.: Lineare Algebra und Analytische Geometrie (Linear Algebra and Analytic Geometry)

Supervision
The course will be supervised by:
- Dozent: Irene Bouw
- ‹bungsleiter: Max Schwegele
