Dr. rer. pol. / BIGSSS - PhD Program

The University of Bremen awards the degree of Doctor of Economics and Social Sciences (Dr. rer. pol.) through the faculties 7, 8, and 11. The promotion serves as proof of the ability to perform in-depth scientific work.

Admission Requirements

The application for admission as a doctoral candidate and the application for admission to the promotion must be submitted to the Central Examination Office, Office FB 07. The Promotionsausschuss will decide on the application in its meeting.

Special Regulation for Digital Implementation of the Promotionskolloquium

Due to the Corona pandemic, the Promotionsausschuss allows a purely digital implementation of the Promotionskolloquium in the form of a video conference with connection of all participants. The approval is valid regardless of the location of the connected members.
