Program Overview

The Cooperative Summer Program with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a summer program designed for undergraduate students. The program allows students to take up to two courses, with the exception of language and art courses.

• Program Name: GEM Trailblazer Summer
• Location: Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
• Duration:
  • Option 1: June 19, 2026 - July 4, 2026 (2 weeks)
  • Option 2: July 2, 2026 - July 18, 2026 (2 weeks)
  • Option 3: June 19, 2026 - July 18, 2026 (4 weeks)
• Eligibility: Students must meet the academic requirements and English language proficiency requirements. Detailed information can be found in the application guidelines.
• Application: Students must apply through the International Education Office and undergo a selection process, which includes a document screening and an interview.

Application and Selection Process

• Application Period: International Education Office application deadline is February 26, 2026. The deadline for application to the host university is March 31, 2026.
• Selection Method: Document screening and interview. The interview will be held on March 6, 2026, at the Ookayama Campus.
• Required Documents: Application form and other supporting documents as specified in the application guidelines.

Financial Support

• Tuition Fee Exemption: Up to two students from the home university may be exempt from tuition fees (registration fees and administrative fees still apply).
• Scholarships:
  • For Japanese nationals/permanent residents:
    • Ą110,000 travel support from the Tokyo Science University Fund.
    • Eligible students may also receive a monthly stipend of Ą110,000 from the JASSO treaty-based scholarship.
  • For non-Japanese nationals
    on-permanent residents: Eligible students may receive Ą110,000 from the Tokyo Science University Fund.

Academic Credit

Students majoring in science and engineering may be able to earn credits for "International Experience Practice" or similar courses.
