University Program Information

The University of Montpellier has organized a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) in the field of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

Program Description

The BIP is a short-term mobility program under the Erasmus+ program, which combines physical and online mobility. The program was held from June 23 to July 2, 2025, with two additional online sessions.

Participating Universities

The program hosted 25 students from 8 European universities:

• Universidad Complutense de Madrid Spain
• Lund University Sweden
• University of Bergen Norway
• Universidad de Sevilla Spain
• Jagiellonian University of Krakow Poland
• Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi Romania
• Democritus University of Thrace Greece

Program Activities

The program included conferences on Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, visits to laboratories such as MIVEGEC, AMAP, CEFE, ISEM, and MARBEC/IFREMER, and opportunities to discover Montpellier and its region through various activities.

Program Outcome

The students completed the 10-day intensive program by presenting their work on a digital herbarium of 25 animal or plant species.
