نظرة عامة على البرنامج
Program Overview
The program "Statistical Data Processing in Natural Sciences - Use of Statistical Packages" is designed to familiarize participants with basic statistical concepts and software, enabling them to effectively process experimental data and extract valuable information.
Program Description
The program covers a wide range of knowledge, from basic statistical concepts to advanced techniques, in a simple and understandable manner. It aims to provide participants with practical skills in statistical data analysis, rather than a theoretical review of undergraduate courses. The program focuses on the direct application of methods to real problems in Chemical, Environmental, and Pharmaceutical Sciences, as well as the correct presentation and interpretation of results.
Program Objectives
The program's scientific area is the interface between Applied Statistics and Natural Sciences or Health Sciences. It aims to provide participants with valuable knowledge that can be combined with their basic scientific background, enhancing their professional profile and giving them a competitive advantage in the job market.
Program Structure
The program consists of 11 educational units, covering topics such as:
- Introduction to data processing
- Basic statistical packages (software)
- Descriptive statistics
- Normal and non-normal distribution
- Statistical tests of significance
- Outlier detection
- Analysis of variance (ANOVA)
- Simple linear regression
- Data visualization
- Trend or slope of experimental data
- Multiple linear regression
- Non-linear multiple regression
- Introduction to Principal Component Analysis (PCA)
