DIU Training of Health Professionals in Pain Management

This program is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage pain effectively.

• Objectives:
  • Provide continuing training in the diagnostic and therapeutic management of acute pain and “Pain Illness” for various healthcare professionals.
  • Involve users through better information
  • Improve access for patients suffering from chronic intractable pain to specialized structures
  • Improve information and training of health personnel
  • Get health establishments to commit to a pain management program
  • Strengthen the nursing role, particularly in the management of pain caused
  • Know how to assess the reality of pain, its causes, its prognosis, know how to develop a medicinal and non-medicinal diagnostic and therapeutic strategy
• The diploma awarded certifies the acquisition of fundamental and clinical knowledge allowing in particular to secure a position of “Pain referent” within the Hospitalization Units and Consultations
