DIU Elderly Medicine

The DIU Médecine de la Personne Âgée program aims to equip medical professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to care for older adults. The program covers topics such as:

• Assessment of the physical, psychological, social and environmental situation of an elderly person
• Establishment of a precise diagnosis of common pathologies and their intricacies
• Choice of medicinal or non-medicated therapy, adapted to elderly people
• Prescription of care and referral for care taking into account social and managerial contexts

Objectives

The objectives of the DIU Médecine de la Personne Âgée program are to enable medical professionals to:
