International Incorporated Master's: Nursing and Health
The International Incorporated Master's (IIM) in Nursing and Health is a fast-track route to a postgraduate degree with the School of Health Sciences at the University of Dundee. This program is designed to develop knowledge and skills in nursing and healthcare, as well as reflective and analytical skills that teach students to think critically, handle data, and present information as confident communicators.
Delivery
The IIM in Nursing and Health is delivered face-to-face on campus.
Course Structure
The program consists of a one-term fast-track route to a Nursing and Health Master's degree at the University. The modules included in this program are:
- English for Masters Preparation 2
- This module supports students as they prepare for their postgraduate studies, extending and developing existing language and academic study skills.
- Postgraduate Study in the UK: Literature Search & Annotated Bibliography
- The aim of this module is to develop knowledge and understanding of how to conduct an informed literature search and produce a concise description and succinct analysis of literature relevant to professional practice and/or advanced academic study in the chosen degree.
- Introduction to Research Methods
- This module introduces students to social research methods directly relevant to their professional practice in health, education, and social work, familiarizing them with standard research terminology and covering qualitative, quantitative, and evidence-based approaches to research in professional contexts.
- Professional Studies Project
- The aim of this module is to allow students an opportunity to engage with the concept of reflective practice, recognizing that professional knowledge includes inter and intrapersonal elements such as values, previous experiences, emotions, and personal capabilities.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the IIM in Nursing and Health, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a UK Diploma of Higher Education or equivalent standard
- Be a registered nurse
English Language Requirements
Applicants must meet the English language requirements for the program:
- One Term: IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 or equivalent
- Pre-Sessional English (PSE) options are available for applicants who do not meet the minimum English language requirements, including a 6-week PSE with an IELTS 5.5 and no less than 5.0 except for writing, which must be 5.5 or equivalent.
Duration
The duration of the program is one term plus a Master's degree, which is 3 months + 1 year.
Start Dates
The program starts in April or June.
