Biodiversity, Agriculture and the Environment PhD Program

Overview

The Biodiversity, Agriculture and the Environment PhD program is offered by the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The program is coordinated by Prof.ssa Cinzia Montemurro and is administered by the Department of Soil, Plant and Food Sciences.

Curricula

The program offers four curricula:

• Genetics and Plant Biotechnology (Scientific Subject Code: AGRI/06A)
• Environmental Sciences (Scientific Subject Codes: BIOS-01B, BIOS-01/C, BIOS-03/A, BIOS-04/A, BIOS-05/A, BIOS-14/A, CHEM-01/B, and CEAR-02/A, AGRI-06/B)
• Mediterranean Sustainable Agriculture (Scientific Subject Codes: AGRI-01/A, AGRI-02/A, AGRI-02/B, AGRI-03/A, AGRI-03/B, AGRI-09/A, AGRI-09/C, BIOS-05/A)
• Crop Protection (Scientific Subject Codes: AGRI-05/A, AGRI-05/B)

Positions

The program offers a total of 12 positions, including:

• 3 positions with scholarships granted by CNR ISPA and ISPS, and 1 position with a scholarship granted by ENI
• 1 position with a scholarship granted by CREA (2/3) and the University of Bari (1/3)
• 5 positions with scholarships granted by research projects (3 positions for 2/3 and 1 position for 1/3 by the University of Bari), 1 position with a scholarship granted by research projects, and 1 position with a scholarship granted for 2/3 by research project and for 1/3 by a private company

Duration

The program duration is 3 years.
