Introduction to the Master's Degree in Mathematics
The Master's Degree in Mathematics is an open-access program. Students who intend to enroll in the Master's Degree in Mathematics must possess one of the following requirements:
- A degree in the L-35 class, Mathematical Sciences (ex DM 270/04)
- A first-level degree in the XXXII class of Mathematical Sciences (ex DM 509/99)
- A first-level degree ex DM 509/99, or a degree ex DM 270/04, or a four-year degree, with which the student has obtained at least 120 CFU in the Mathematics and Physics area
Prerequisites for the Program
The program presupposes:
- In-depth knowledge of Algebra, Mathematical Analysis, and Geometry
- Good knowledge of Numerical Calculus methods, Mathematical Physics, and Probability Calculus
- Good knowledge of Classical Physics and the ability to use computer calculation tools
- Understanding of the English language in a scientific context
Admission Criteria
The possession of these skills, which is a necessary condition for enrollment in the Master's Degree in Mathematics, will be verified through a preliminary interview with the Coordinator of the Interclass Council in Mathematics (CIM). Graduates with a three-year degree (L-35) who have obtained their degree from the University of Bari Aldo Moro can enroll in the Master's Degree in Mathematics LM-40 without having to take the preliminary interview.
Program Structure
