Introduction to the Program

The Master's degree program in Medicine and Surgery (LM-41) is a six-year course that requires 360 CFU (University Credits) in total, with at least 60 credits in basic sectors.

Program Structure

The program is organized into 12 semesters and 36 integrated courses, each assigned specific CFU by the Council of the educational structure, in accordance with the table of essential training activities. Each CFU corresponds to a 25-hour student commitment, typically consisting of no more than 10 hours of frontal lessons or 20 hours of assisted study within the educational structure. For professionalizing CFU, 25 hours of work per student are required, including 20 hours of professionalizing activity guided by the teacher in small groups within the educational structure and the territory, and 5 hours of individual re-elaboration of the learned activities.

Study Plan

The study plan includes the acquisition of 8 CFU (University Credits) to be chosen by the student (in the form of elective educational activities - ADE) starting from the first year of the course. These elective activities include participation in seminar activities, congresses, specific courses, and clinical internship activities, as well as activities aimed at acquiring "Transversal Competencies" programmed by the University and consultable on the institutional website, provided they are recognized as coherent with the training process by the Course Council. The organization and monitoring of student participation, as well as annual calendarization, are overseen by the Course Council as a reference body.
