Introduction to the Lantm‰stare Program

The Lantm‰stare program is designed to provide students with a broad range of skills and knowledge in agricultural and rural management. The program aims to equip students with the necessary tools to become key players in the future of sustainable agriculture.

Program Description

The Lantm‰stare program is a three-year undergraduate program that combines theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as crop production, animal husbandry, and entrepreneurship. The program is designed to provide students with a holistic understanding of agricultural and rural management, as well as the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the industry.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the Lantm‰stare program, students must meet the following requirements:

• Matematik 2a or 2b or 2c
• Naturkunskap 2 (can be replaced with Biologi 1, Kemi 1, and Fysik 1a or Fysik 1b1 + 1b2)
• Samh‰llskunskap 1b or 1a1
• Relevant work experience (at least 24 months, or 500 gymnasiepo‰ng in jordbrukskurser and at least 18 months, or at least 40 veckors aftergymnasial utbildning with inriktning jordbruk and at least 12 months)

Program Structure

The program is divided into three years, with each year building on the previous one. The first year provides a foundation in agricultural and rural management, including courses in economics, marketing, and statistics. The second year focuses on animal production, including courses in animal husbandry, feed production, and animal health. The third year allows students to specialize in one of two areas: fˆretagsekonomi (business economics) or lantbruksvetenskap (agricultural science).
