The Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres (ICAR-CRIJAF) is a premier institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) dedicated to research and development in jute and allied fibre crops. It is located in Nilganj, Barrackpore, West Bengal, and has four research stations across India. The institute focuses on six natural fibre crops: jute, sisal, ramie, sunnhemp, mesta, and flax.
