The subject focuses on:

• Introduction to creativity and innovation
• Introduction to essential aspects of music performance, such as idea creation, production mechanisms, promotion and marketing, audience development, and the social role of the music field
• Awareness of one's own identity, strengths, and opportunities as a cultural entrepreneur
• Development, start-up, and establishment of one's own business
• Support and financing schemes within the cultural field
• Preparation of a portfolio and promotional materials (website, CV/biography, images, press materials, audio/visual recordings)

Knowledge:

• About the cultural entrepreneur and the conditions that characterize the cultural field in general and the music industry in particular
• About developing a business plan and promotional materials for one's own artistic business
• About the requirements for applications related to various application instances

Skills:

• Ability to relate to and build relevant networks and contacts
• Ability to develop a business plan for one's own artistic business
• Ability to design and present one's own projects and ideas in a business context

General competence:

• Ability to place one's own business and performance material in an aesthetic and social context
• Ability to reflect on music performance as a business and one's own future role in cultural life
