Program Overview
The 3+1 program is a collaborative effort between the School of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering and the Institute of General Mechanics at Aachen University of Technology (RWTH Aachen). This program is designed for outstanding students in mechanical engineering who have completed their first three years of undergraduate studies.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
- Be a third-year undergraduate student in a mechanical engineering program
- Have no record of violating laws or regulations
- Demonstrate good overall quality and excellent academic performance, with priority given to students ranked in the top 30% of their class
Language Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following English language test scores:
- CEFR test score of B2 or above
- TOEFL score of 70 or above
- IELTS score of 5.5 or above
- College English Test Band 6 score of 425 or above
Fees
The total program fee is 11,600, which includes tuition fees for the 9-month study period, one hot meal per day, and transportation costs. This fee does not cover additional expenses such as visa fees, living expenses, and accommodation.
Application Period
Applications are accepted from March to April each year.
Program Structure
The program offers two study tracks:
1. Practical Track
This track aims to provide students with international practical experience through internships with German companies. Students will complete their bachelor's thesis under the guidance of two supervisors from Nanjing Forestry University and RWTH Aachen. Upon completion, students will gain valuable work experience, enhancing their career prospects in China.

Program Benefits

Breach of Contract
Students who withdraw from the program after being selected must apply to do so at least four weeks before the program starts. Failure to do so will result in no refund and liability for all costs incurred due to their withdrawal.
