Advanced Placement Program

The Advanced Placement (AP) Program is designed for high school students who intend to apply for the international program at Chiang Mai University or want to develop skills in Digital Literacy and English Proficiency.

Program Overview

The program prepares students for studying International Programs of bachelor's degree (4 years) at International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University. It offers a double degree option, allowing students to apply for transnational education (2+2 program): 2 years at Chiang Mai University and 2 years in UK/Australia, subject to language requirements.

Program Benefits

• Students with C grade or higher can transfer credits (credit bank) to undergraduate study when enrolling in Digital Innovation Program.
• Students with TOEFL iBT minimum score of 60 or IELTS Academic overall band 5.5 or above can have 2 English courses exempted when enrolling at Chiang Mai University.

The program includes the following courses:

• General Education (GE Courses)
  • Big Data for Business (3 credits, 3-0-6)
  • Communication and Networking in Online Society (3 credits, 3-0-6)
• Science in Digital Innovation (DIN Courses)
  • Digital Economy (3 credits, 3-0-6)
  • Digital Innovation and Trends (3 credits, 3-0-6)
• English
  • English for AP program: English Module to improve the students' oral presentation and writing skills (N/A credits)

Tuition Fee

The program fees include:

• University Fee: 600 THB per semester
• Course Fee: 30,000 THB per semester

Program Period

The program is divided into two semesters:

• Semester 1
  • Application Period: May - August 1st, 2025
  • Course Period: September - November, 2025
• Semester 2
  • Application Period: August 15th - October 15th, 2025
  • Course Period: November 2025 - January, 2026 Note: The application and course period may be subject to change.
