Introduction to the Singapore Sustainability Program
The Singapore Sustainability Program (SSP) is a unique overseas training program offered by Kobe University, where students can learn from Singapore's advanced initiatives in the field of sustainability. This program is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
Program Overview
The SSP is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability challenges and cutting-edge solutions. The program covers various topics, including green economy policies, sharing economy, circular economy, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Students will have the opportunity to learn from local companies, innovative startups, and government agencies in Singapore.
Program Structure
The program consists of three parts:
- Online pre-study sessions
- On-site study in Singapore
- Online post-study sessions
Online Pre-Study Sessions
The online pre-study sessions will introduce students to the basics of sustainability and provide an overview of the program.
On-Site Study in Singapore
The on-site study in Singapore will include lectures, speaker sessions, discussions with local university students, and company visits. Students will have the opportunity to engage with local companies and startups, and learn from their experiences.
Online Post-Study Sessions
The online post-study sessions will provide students with the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and present their findings.
Program Schedule
The program schedule is as follows:
- Online pre-study sessions: July 26 (Sat) and August 2 (Sat)
- On-site study in Singapore: August 24 (Sun) to September 1 (Mon)
- Online post-study sessions: September 10 (Wed)
Program Fees
The program fees are as follows:
- 640,000 yen (for 10 or more participants)
- 580,000 yen (for 15 or more participants)
- 99,000 yen (for full online participation, 10 or more participants)
- 66,000 yen (for full online participation, 15 or more participants)
Program Design
The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability challenges and solutions. The program will include lectures, discussions, company visits, and presentations.
