Introduction to Jiangnan University's Engineering Management Master's Program

Jiangnan University is a key university under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education and a "211 Project" university. The university is located in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, and covers an area of 3250 acres with a building area of 1.16 million square meters.


School of Business

The School of Business at Jiangnan University was established in 1985 and currently offers five undergraduate majors, including International Economics and Trade, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, and Big Data Management and Application. The school has three first-level discipline master's degree programs in Applied Economics, Business Administration, and Management Science and Engineering, as well as four professional master's degree programs in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering Management (MEM), Industrial Engineering and Management, and Logistics Engineering and Management.


Engineering Management Master's (MEM) Program

The Engineering Management Master's (MEM) program at Jiangnan University aims to cultivate high-level, application-oriented engineering management professionals with a strong foundation in engineering technology and modern management thinking. The program focuses on developing students' abilities in management theory, methods, and tools, as well as their expertise in related engineering fields.


Program Objectives

The program's objectives include:


  • Cultivating students' ability to analyze and solve engineering management problems
  • Developing students' comprehensive abilities in scientific decision-making, system design, integration, and lifelong learning
  • Preparing students to work independently in engineering management positions, with the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and make decisions

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must:


  1. Be a citizen of the People's Republic of China
  2. Support the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and have good moral character
  3. Be in good physical health
  4. Have a bachelor's degree and at least three years of work experience, or a high-vocational or junior college diploma and at least five years of work experience, or a master's or doctoral degree and at least two years of work experience

Program Duration and Learning Mode

The program has a duration of 2.5 years and is offered in a non-full-time format, with classes held at Jiangnan University.


Certificate Awarding

Upon completing the program, students who meet the requirements will be awarded a Master's degree in Engineering Management and a graduate diploma.


Tuition Fees

The total tuition fee for the program is 128,000 yuan, paid in installments over the duration of the program.


Enrollment Plan

The program plans to enroll 30 students.


Application Process

The application process includes online registration and online confirmation (or on-site confirmation).


Online Registration

Online registration is open from October 5 to October 25, and applicants can log in to the "China Graduate Admissions Information Network" to register.


Online Confirmation (On-site Confirmation)

Applicants who have not passed the online verification of their qualifications must complete the verification before the online confirmation (on-site confirmation). The specific time for online confirmation (on-site confirmation) will be announced by the examination institution in the applicant's province.


Initial Examination

The initial examination will be held on December 25, and applicants must download and print their admission tickets from the "China Graduate Admissions Information Network" before the examination.


Examination Arrangements

The examination will include a management comprehensive ability test and an English test, each lasting three hours.


Re-examination

The re-examination will be conducted according to the initial examination results, and applicants who do not meet the requirements will not be admitted.


Admission

The admission process will be conducted by Jiangnan University, and the MBA Education Center will determine the admission list based on the school's enrollment plan and the initial examination results.


Other Matters

  • The non-full-time Engineering Management Master's (MEM) program does not accept single-examination applicants.
  • The program only recruits in-service directional employment applicants, and non-full-time students are not eligible for national scholarships or accommodation arrangements.
  • Applicants must resolve any issues related to their employment or academic background themselves, and the university will not be responsible for any consequences arising from these issues.
  • The university will adjust its admission policies according to the latest requirements from the Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities.
