The 3+1 Bachelor's and Master's degree program is a collaborative effort between the University of Bristol's Faculty of Engineering and the South China Normal University. The program adopts a "3+1" model, where students spend the first three years completing their undergraduate coursework at the South China Normal University and then proceed to the University of Bristol for a one-year master's degree program.

Research Enhancement Camp

The research enhancement camp is a mandatory component of the 3+1 program, lasting three weeks and conducted online. The camp aims to enhance students' academic background and abilities, better preparing them for the master's program at the University of Bristol. The camp includes 30 hours of academic English courses and 30 hours of engineering and technology academic enhancement courses.

Application Requirements

To apply for the program, students must meet the following requirements:

1. Research Enhancement Camp:

• Currently enrolled in their second year of undergraduate studies
• English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80, or CET-4 530 or CET-6 500

2. Master's Program:

• Completed all undergraduate coursework and obtained corresponding credits
• Six-semester weighted average score of 87 (or GPA 3.7)
• English proficiency: IELTS 6.5 (single subject 6.0), TOEFL 85, or Langsig B2 High Pass
• Passed the program's interview and completed the research enhancement camp

Program Schedule

• Research Enhancement Camp: July-August 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed by the University of Bristol)
• Master's Program: September 2027-September 2028
