Introduction to the DU Psychologie et Pédagogie du Comportement Alimentaire
The DU Psychologie et Pédagogie du Comportement Alimentaire is a university program focused on the psychology and pedagogy of eating behavior. This program aims to provide healthcare professionals with the theoretical and operational knowledge to understand and address eating behavior issues in their patients.
Objectives of the Program
The primary objectives of this program are to:
- Enable participants to accompany patients seeking to change their eating habits
- Personalize prescriptions and recommendations for patients
- Help patients become aware of the psychosocial and biological components underlying their eating imbalances
- Assist patients in understanding and overcoming stress related to eating and in general
- Reduce potential food addictions
- Identify and facilitate patients' intrinsic motivations for change
- Balance personal, social, and professional life
- Develop self-affirmation to better manage social situations, including those related to food and social norms
Organization and Pedagogy
The program consists of 128 hours of teaching over one academic year, divided into:
- Theoretical teaching: 18 hours
- Practical teaching: 110 hours in video conferencing, spread over 3 seminars of 4 days, 1 seminar of 3 days, and a day dedicated to the exam The program also includes 7 modules in video conferencing and 9 e-learning sessions, covering topics such as:
- Troubles du Comportement Alimentaire (TCA) and Troubles du Spectre Autistique (TSA)
- Diagnostics and strategies for addressing eating behavior according to the Approche Neurocognitive et Comportementale (ANC)
- Repérer and treating cognitive restriction through the Approche Bio-Psycho-Sensorielle du Groupe de Recherche sur l'Obésité & le Surpoids (APBC/GROS)
- Training psychological flexibility in the relationship with food through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Trans-diagnostic approach and management of eating disorders through Mindfulness/Pleine Conscience (PC)
Target Audience
The program is designed for healthcare professionals, including:

- Pharmacists
- Psychologists
- Nurses
- Midwives
- Dietitians
- Those with a Master's degree in nutrition or equivalent Other healthcare professionals may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Prerequisites
Professionals must be in a position for those working in institutions or have at least one year of practice for liberals. Diplomas and status governing the exercise of health professions are required.
Validation of the Program
Validation includes:
- A final exam in the form of an online QCM
- Writing a clinical case study (Professional Practice Report) to be submitted by June 30 of the current session Participation in all teachings is mandatory.
