Introduction to the Summer International Research Program

The Summer International Research Program is a short-term project organized by the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and the Student Affairs Office of Harbin Engineering University. The program aims to broaden students' global perspectives, enhance their international understanding, and improve their competence.

Program Details

Project Introduction

1. Project Content: The program focuses on "Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence" and includes professional courses and visits to cutting-edge laboratories at the Politecnico di Milano.
2. Project Location: Milan, Italy
3. Project Time: July 20, 2025 - August 2, 2025 (14 days)
4. Fee: 26,800 CNY per person, covering course fees, accommodation, local transportation, and insurance
5. Application Deadline: May 22, 2025

Selection Criteria

• Full-time undergraduate and graduate students of all majors
• Students who love their country, support the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, and have a strong sense of collectivism and team spirit
• Students who have not received any administrative penalties during their studies
• Students with a certain level of economic conditions
• Students with a certain level of English proficiency

Application Procedure

1. Students should discuss and agree with their parents before applying, then fill out the "Harbin Engineering University Student Overseas Study Application Form" (attachment).
2. After filling out the form, students should submit it to their instructor and college office for review.
3. The college will review and summarize the applications, then submit them to the Student Affairs Office by May 22, 2025.

Funding Policy

1. The university provides a subsidy of 4,000 CNY per person for undergraduate students.
2. Colleges and supervisors are encouraged to provide additional subsidies, and the remaining fees will be borne by the students.

Other Notes

1. The International Exchange and Cooperation Office and the Student Affairs Office will conduct the selection based on the application situation, and the quota will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Students who have confirmed their application should apply for a personal passport as soon as possible.
3. Students who withdraw from the program or fail to complete the necessary procedures will be responsible for the related costs and consequences.
4. After being selected, students must fill out relevant materials, sign a letter of responsibility, and participate in online exit reviews and other activities.
