The National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) and Eternal Materials Co., Ltd. are collaborating to offer a special program for students from Thailand and Malaysia. This program provides an opportunity for students to pursue a master's degree in chemistry at NSYSU, with a focus on industry-specific education.
Program Details
- The program duration is 2 years.
- The program focuses on the following research areas:
- Organic chemistry
- Inorganic chemistry and organometallic chemistry
- Physical chemistry and theoretical chemistry
- Analytical chemistry
Scholarship Details
- The program offers a full scholarship, which includes:
- Tuition fee assistance: NT$100,000 per year or NT$50,000 per semester (the difference in tuition fees will be subsidized by NSYSU)
- Monthly living allowance: NT$15,000 per month, subsidized by Eternal Materials Co., Ltd.
- One-way airfare to Taiwan: up to NT$9,000
- Document-related fees (such as visa, document verification, and medical checkup): up to NT$10,000
- After graduation, students will have the opportunity to sign a 2-year work contract with Eternal Materials Co., Ltd.

Job Opportunities After Graduation
- Job title: Researcher
- Salary: NT$55,000 per month
- Job responsibilities:
- Material research and related chemical formula design
- Experimental design and execution
- Reading and summarizing research literature, academic papers, and patent documents
- Trial production, process control, and production process review
- Technical support and customer complaint handling
- New material research, evaluation, and testing
- Collecting and analyzing industry trend information
- Assisting in product introduction and promotion
- Business trips as required
- Following environmental management system regulations
- Completing other tasks assigned by supervisors
Responsibilities and Obligations of Scholarship Recipients
- After entering the program, students must obtain a TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language) listening and reading score of A2 or above within the first 2 years.
- After graduation, recipients must work in Taiwan for a period equal to the duration of the scholarship received, up to a maximum of 2 years.
- If a student drops out of the program or fails to fulfill the work obligation after graduation, they must return the scholarship and living allowance; if the actual work period is shorter than the stipulated period, they must return the scholarship and living allowance proportionally.
