نظرة عامة على البرنامج
Introduction to the Program
The Resources and Environment (Geological Engineering) professional master's degree program is designed to cultivate high-level, application-oriented talents with strong professional abilities and occupational qualities. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the field of geological engineering, with a focus on resources and environment.
Program Overview
The program is offered by the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, which has a strong faculty and experimental conditions. The school has a total of 31 doctoral supervisors, 19 professors, and 35 associate professors, with 75 faculty members holding doctoral degrees. The program has a strong research focus, with a total of 22 laboratories and a large number of advanced instruments.
Program Objectives
The program aims to cultivate students with the following abilities:
- To master the basic theories and systematic professional knowledge of geological engineering
- To have a strong self-learning ability and a broad knowledge base
- To have a strong innovation ability and practical ability
- To be able to solve actual problems and undertake professional technical or management work
Program Requirements
The program requires students to:
- Love the country, uphold the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, and adhere to the party's basic theory, line, and policy.
- Have a strong sense of social responsibility and professional ethics.
- Master a foreign language, with a certain level of reading, writing, and speaking ability.
- Have a strong physical condition, correct labor concept, and healthy aesthetic awareness.
Program Directions
The program has several research directions, including:
- Mineral resource exploration and development
- Oil and gas geology and evaluation
- Hydrogeology and engineering geology evaluation
- Geological disaster prevention and control
- Resource environment management and protection
Learning Mode and Duration
The program is offered in a full-time mode, with a basic study period of 3 years and a maximum study period of 5 years.
Training Mode
The program adopts a combination of course learning, professional practice, and thesis writing. The program also includes a "industry-education" mentor system, where students are guided by both academic and industry mentors.
Academic Requirements
The program requires students to complete a total of 34 credits, including 26 credits for course learning and 8 credits for professional practice. The program also requires students to pass a thesis defense and complete a professional practice report.
Thesis
The thesis should be based on the actual work of geological engineering, with a clear technical background and a certain level of theoretical basis. The thesis should demonstrate the student's ability to apply scientific theories, methods, and technical means to solve engineering technical problems.
Degree Awarding
Students who complete the program and pass the thesis defense will be awarded a master's degree in engineering.
