Quantum Engineering Program

The field of quantum physics requires a new way of thinking and specialists who can use the counter-intuitive quantum laws to create technological solutions. This program has been designed to introduce students to all three tracks of quantum technologies, including quantum communication and cryptography, quantum computation, and quantum sensorics. It provides students with knowledge and skills in quantum physics, laser physics, electronics, programming, and material science.

Once a conditional acceptance letter is obtained, the following application set is required:

• High School Certificate or Previous Degree Diploma with notarized translation to Russian language

• Medical Certificate that confirms no contra-indications for studying in Russia + Negative AIDS/HIV test certificate issued by an official healthcare authority of the country
• Photo in passport-format

Tuition Fee

Tuition fee cost varies depending on the education level and program of choice. For the 2024/25 academic year:

• Bachelor's Degree programs: from 281,600 RUB/year
• Specialist's Degree programs: from 315,600 RUB/year
• Master's Degree programs: from 338,800 RUB/year
• PhD programs: from 380,600 RUB/year

Housing

The university offers housing at MEPhI residence halls to all international students.
