Program Description
The Postgraduate Program in Polyfunctional Management of Forest Ecosystems and Bioeconomy (POLYBIO) was established with the Government Gazette 3685/03.09.2020 ' and operates for the first time from the academic year.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees amount to 2800 per postgraduate student for the entire cycle of studies and are paid in two installments of 1400 at the beginning of the first two semesters of attendance.
According to Article 86, paragraph 1 of Law 4957/2022, it is possible for postgraduate students to be exempt from tuition fees, up to 30% of the total number of students admitted to the POLYBIO Postgraduate Program, provided they meet the economic or social criteria of the present law.
Services Provided
The services provided to postgraduate students in exchange for tuition fees include:
- High-quality specialized education by renowned scientists in the field, on days and hours outside the regular schedule (Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday morning).
- Unobstructed support and guidance in coursework throughout the period of its conduct.
- Unobstructed support and guidance in the preparation of their research dissertation, which requires many additional hours of employment.
- Free access to the rich educational material posted by each instructor on e-class, as well as to the library of the Institution.
- Receipt of scholarships based on academic criteria, equivalent to exemption from tuition fees.
- Organization of educational visits to important natural ecosystems and businesses.
- Acquisition of additional knowledge through lectures by invited speakers of international renown.
- Use of modern facilities of the Institution, fully equipped with computers, projectors, instruments, etc., and naturally covering all operational expenses.
- Potential use of equipment for the realization of both coursework and research.
Scholarships
Based on the Regulation of Postgraduate Studies and the provisions of paragraph 4 of Article 35 of Law 4485/2017, scholarships are awarded to students based on academic criteria.
One (1) scholarship is awarded to the student who completes the highest grade in the 5 courses of the 1st semester, equivalent to exemption from tuition fees for one (1) semester, worth 1400 .
One (1) scholarship is awarded to the student who completes the highest grade in the 5 courses of the 2nd semester, equivalent to exemption from tuition fees for one (1) semester, worth 1400 .
No scholarship is awarded if the postgraduate student is already receiving a scholarship from another source.
