Introduction to the Program

The Hebei University of Technology and Massey University 2026 Master of Management Joint Training Program (1+1) is a collaborative effort between the two institutions. This program aims to cultivate high-end, compound, and applied international talents with a global perspective and innovative thinking.

School Introduction

Hebei University of Technology, founded in 1903, is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China to foster industrial talent. Massey University, established in 1927, is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in New Zealand, known for its academic excellence and research.

Program Overview

The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in management, with a focus on financial knowledge and theory. The program consists of two years of study, with the first year spent at Hebei University of Technology and the second year at Massey University.

Program Structure

• The program is divided into two parts: the first year at Hebei University of Technology, where students complete 60 credits of professional foundation courses and English language studies.
• The second year at Massey University, where students complete 120 credits of master's research courses.
• Students who complete the required credits and meet the degree-granting conditions will be awarded a Master of Management degree from Massey University.

Admission Requirements

Eligibility

• The program is open to Chinese citizens who support the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.
• Applicants must be in good physical and mental health to study abroad independently.
• Eligible applicants include fourth-year undergraduate students at Hebei University of Technology and graduates from domestic and foreign universities.

Fees

• The tuition fee for the first year at Hebei University of Technology is 70,000 RMB per academic year (including accommodation).
• The tuition fee for the second year at Massey University is approximately 33,760 NZD per academic year (subject to change based on Massey University's official website).

Enrollment Procedure

• Applicants must pass the qualification review conducted by Hebei University of Technology and Massey University.
• Shortlisted applicants will participate in an interview, and those who pass will be enrolled in the program based on their performance.

Program Details

Courses

• The first year of study at Hebei University of Technology includes four professional foundation courses: Management Communication, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Modern Enterprise Management, and International Business Practice.
• The second year of study at Massey University includes courses determined by Massey University's curriculum and requirements.

English Language Requirements

• Applicants must achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0) or a TOEFL iBT score of 90 (with a writing score of at least 20) or a Duolingo score of 120 (with no band less than 105) before starting the second year of study at Massey University.
• Applicants with an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5) or equivalent can choose to take a 10-week English academic course (EAP2) online or at Massey University's Auckland campus, and upon passing the course, they can directly enter the second year of master's study at Massey University without taking the IELTS test.
