Introduction to the University Program
The University of Ottawa's Faculty of Engineering offers a 3+2 undergraduate and graduate program in collaboration with Hebei University of Technology. This program aims to promote internationalization and support the "Double First-Class" initiative.
Program Details
- Program Overview: The 3+2 program allows students to complete their undergraduate degree in three years at their home university and then pursue a master's degree at the University of Ottawa. Students will take courses in their fourth year that count towards both their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

- Computer Science (MCS with thesis or non-thesis option)

Admission Requirements
- Academic Background: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a related field or be in their third or fourth year of study.
- GPA: A minimum GPA of 75% is required, with some programs requiring a higher GPA (e.g., 78% for Computer Science).
- English Proficiency: Applicants must have a TOEFL score of 80 or higher, an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, or a CanTEST score of 4.0 or higher in all components.
- Interview and Assessment: Applicants must pass an interview and academic assessment conducted by the University of Ottawa.
Tuition Fees
- Graduate Tuition: Approximately $6,500 CAD per semester for Computer Science and Electronic Business Technologies, and $8,500 CAD per semester for other engineering programs.
- Undergraduate Tuition: Approximately $32,000 CAD per year for Computer Science and $40,000 CAD per year for other engineering programs.
- Scholarships: Students who perform well in the program may be eligible for a 10% tuition scholarship.
