Admission

The school offers a master's program with the following admission criteria:


  • Online application period: Monday, 29th December 2025 - Friday, 9th January 2026 (extended until Sunday, 18th January 2026)
  • Online (ZOOM) interview: Wednesday, 21st January 2026
  • Document submission address: Announcement of successful applicants: Wednesday, 4th February 2026
  • Deadline for submission of documents: By Wednesday, 21st January 2026

The Graduate School of Next-Generation Secondary Batteries offers a range of courses, including:

  • Recycling and Reuse of Used Batteries (Major Elective, 3 credits)
  • Next-Generation Battery Materials and Technology (Major Required, 3 credits)

  • Battery Production and Performance Evaluation (Major Required, 3 credits)

Scholarships

The school offers various scholarships, including:


  1. Admission Fee: Fully waived (715,000 KRW)
  2. Tuition Fee: Fully waived for 2 years (4,109,000 KRW per semester based on the 2025 academic year)
  3. Living Support Allowance: 800,000 KRW per month
  4. Dormitory Fee (including meals on weekdays): Fully covered

Courses and Course Registration

Course registration is done through the UWINS website. Students can access the website, enter their ID and password, and click on "Graduate School Course Registration" to register for courses.


Leave of Absence and Return

Students can apply for a leave of absence or return to school through the UWINS website. The application process involves:


  1. Accessing the UWINS website
  2. Entering ID and password
  3. Clicking on "Academic Status Change"
  4. Clicking on "Leave of Absence / Return to School"
  5. Completing the required details and printing the application form
  6. Obtaining signatures from the student and major supervising professor
  7. Submitting the form to the Graduate School Administration Office

Graduation

The graduation requirements include:


  • Program duration: 2 years
  • Credits required for program completion: 28 credits (Thesis Option), 34 credits (Non-Thesis Option)
  • Cumulative GPA: 3.00 or higher
  • Completion of 100 hours of Korean language courses
