Program Features
- Immersive Learning Experience: Students participate in a one-year immersive learning experience at UCR, taking classes with full-time undergraduate or graduate students.
- Tuition Fee Discount: Students receive a tuition fee discount of approximately one-third compared to international undergraduate students.
- Priority Access to Research Opportunities: Students have priority access to research opportunities and can participate in world-class research projects under the guidance of UCR faculty members.
- Certificate and Transcript: Students receive a certificate of completion and an official transcript from UCR, which can be recognized by universities worldwide.
- Priority Admission to UCR Graduate Programs: Students who complete the program can apply for priority admission to UCR's graduate programs, including master's and Ph.D. programs in engineering, business, and other fields.
- Optional Practical Training (OPT): Students who complete the program and do not pursue further studies can apply for OPT, which allows them to work in the United States for up to 29 months.
- Early Adaptation to US Academic Environment: Students can adapt to the US academic environment and develop a competitive edge in applying to graduate programs.

Program Structure
The program consists of three phases:
- Phase 1: Undergraduate Study in China (3 years)
- Students complete their undergraduate degree at their home university in China.
- Phase 2: Study at UCR (1 year)
- Students study at UCR for one year, taking classes and participating in research projects.
- Phase 3: Master's or Ph.D. Study (X years)
- Students pursue a master's or Ph.D. degree at UCR or other universities in the United States.

Program Fees
The program fees for the 2022 academic year are as follows:
- MBPP: $25,000
- GPP: $25,000
Accommodation
Students can choose from two types of accommodation:
- Homestay: Students live with a host family and participate in American family life.
- Apartment: Students live in a shared apartment on campus with access to facilities such as a gym and basketball court.

Eligibility
The program is open to undergraduate students in their third year of study (or fourth year for five-year programs).
