Cardiff University 4+1 Program

Cardiff University, founded in 1883, is a renowned traditional university in the United Kingdom, located in the heart of Cardiff, the capital of Wales. With approximately 25,000 students, the university is recognized for its leading research capabilities and has produced two Nobel laureates. In the 2019 QS World University Rankings, Cardiff University ranked 145th globally. The university's business school is ranked 4th among 109 business schools in the UK and is the largest college within the university, accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a distinction held by only 5% of business schools worldwide.

Program Details

• The "4+1" program allows students to study at Dalian Maritime University for four years and then apply to Cardiff University for a one-year master's program, provided they meet the admission requirements.
• Upon completing their studies, students can receive a master's degree from Cardiff University.

Admission Requirements

1. All fourth-year students from the School of Maritime Economics and Management can apply.
2. Students must complete their studies at Dalian Maritime University with an average score of 75 or above.
3. Applicants must have an IELTS score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6) or equivalent TOEFL scores. Students with an IELTS score of 6 (within the last two years, from a UKVI-approved test center) can participate in a language course.

Tuition Fees

• The tuition fee is approximately Ł13,750 per person per academic year.

Application Timeline

• The application period is every November.
