Introduction to the Innosuisse Start-up Training Programme
The Innosuisse Start-up Training programme is an initiative by Innosuisse, the Swiss innovation agency responsible for promoting science-based innovation in the interests of industry and society. This programme offers training and funding opportunities to support start-ups and entrepreneurship.
Programme Structure
The training is divided into four different courses, which can be taken separately, to help develop business ideas, set up a company, and implement a development strategy for the start-up. The Universitŕ della Svizzera italiana (USI), together with SUPSI, organises the first two modules of the training programme for start-ups in Lugano.
Module 1 - Business Ideas
A two-hour motivational event to approach the world of entrepreneurship. Successful role models are the best motivation for anyone wanting to take the plunge into self-employment. At "Business Ideas" motivational events, participants will meet interesting high-profile entrepreneurs and be inspired by their success stories.
Module 2 - Business Concept
The Business Concept training program provides participants with theoretical concepts required for setting up a startup, notions for the preparation of a business model, and an effective pitch for the different actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This program combines theoretical concepts with practical exercises and is offered annually during the autumn semester.
Module 3 - Business Creation
A 5-day intensive course organised according to the sector in various Swiss regions (ICT, Advanced Engineering, Biotechnology / MedTech, Social Entrepreneurship). It is intended for young entrepreneurs who are taking the first steps towards setting up their own start-up and provides the basics to draw a business plan and manage a start-up.
Module 4 - Business Growth
A 5-day intensive course organised according to the sector in various Swiss regions (ICT, Advanced Engineering, Biotechnology / MedTech, Social Entrepreneurship). It is intended for young entrepreneurs who have already founded their start-up and provides basic practical training to help planning, establish, and manage the company.
