Computer Science - Secondary Education (BAE) Program
The Computer Science, Secondary Ed. - Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAE) program is designed to provide exposure to the breadth of topics required to satisfy K6-12 students' curiosity about how computers and technology work, and how students can personally leverage the learned knowledge to create their own futures.

When Can I Declare a Pre-Major?
Students that have completed or enrolled in CSCI 141 are encouraged to sign up to become a CS, Secondary Ed. Pre-Major.

Students can apply for the major while they're enrolled in CSCI 145 or have completed CSCI 145 with a C- or better.
What Criteria Are Considered for Admission?
When considering your application, the following are looked at:
- Endorsement evaluation
- Cumulative GPA
- Completion of an English composition course
- All application requirements
What Do I Need for My Application?
Applications for the Computer Science, BAE program require:
- Completion of CSCI 141 and CSCI 145 with a C- or better
- Experience with youth in an educational setting
- Scores from a basic skills test (ACT, SAT, or WEST-B) or a scheduled WEST-B exam
- 2 letters of recommendations
- One speaking to your work with youth in an educational setting
- One speaking to your CS skills
- 3 essays
