Program Details
The M‰nniska-maskin-interaktion course introduces students to the fundamentals of multimodal interaction methods and technologies, focusing on human-centered design, embodied interaction, and human perception. The course covers evidence-based empirical methods for studying human behavior in naturalistic interaction settings and the application of multimodal human interaction principles in visual and audiovisual design.
Course Description
The course will introduce students to the landscape of multimodality and human interaction from cognitive, formal modeling, computational, design, and empirical perspectives. Practical work will involve learning to perform systematic multimodal analysis of human factors relevant to interaction design.
Prerequisites
- Grundl‰ggande programmering, 7,5 hp
- Objektorienterad programmering, 7,5 hp from Programmeringsteknik, 15 hp
Admission Criteria
Admission is based on the number of completed higher education credits taken no later than the last application date.
Course Schedule
The course is offered during the spring semester of 2026, from week 04 to 13, and in 2027, from week 03 to 12. The course is taught at half speed (50%) during daytime hours, and instruction is in English. The course is campus-based in ÷rebro.
