Technical Communication for the Sciences Program
The Technical Communication for the Sciences noncredit certificate is designed to prepare students and mid-career professionals to produce effective, instructive, and concise communication for the science workplace. Students will learn best practices in communication and presentation for end-users, who may include a variety of professional, technical, consumer, and specialized audiences.
Program Overview
Technical communication is the art and science of dissecting, clarifying, and condensing complex data and information into readable, accessible material for a specific audience. The program will cover techniques and strategies to create user-friendly and concise documents from complex information.

Prerequisites
To maximize learner success, it is strongly suggested that Freshman Composition (or equivalent) and at least one college-level science class be completed before registering for this training.
Program Schedule
The program starts on October 14 and runs until November 17, 2024, with live, online sessions every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm EST. Each session is led by a different industry expert.
