Missouri Scholars Program

The Missouri Scholars Program is a scholarship initiative that provides financial assistance to eligible students. The program has specific requirements and guidelines for eligibility, including:

• Transfer students from public schools who are income-eligible and have attended public school for at least one semester in the past 12 months.
• Students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) issued in the last 36 months, developed under the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Missouri Scholars Program, students must meet the following criteria:

• Transfer students must be income-eligible and have attended public school for at least one semester in the past 12 months.
• Students with an IEP must have the plan issued by a public school.

Application Process

The application process for the Missouri Scholars Program involves the following steps:

• Families must fill out the application from an authorized Educational Assistance Organization.
• Once approved, families will be emailed a link to the state's full application, which includes uploading tax returns, utility bills, and IEP documentation or public school transcripts.

Using the Funds

Once the scholarship is awarded, parents will have an account created with ClassWallet, a digital wallet contracted by the state to manage scholarship funds. The funds will be deposited into the account for the parent to direct toward tuition.

Income Eligibility for Transfer Students

The income eligibility criteria for transfer students are based on the free and reduced lunch threshold, with two rounds of awards:

• Round 1: Students with IEP/ISPs or transfer students with a household income below 100% of the free and reduced lunch threshold ($51k for a family of 4).
• Round 2: Transfer students with a household income between 100-200% of the free and reduced lunch threshold ($51k-$102k for a family of 4).
