Dual Enrollment Program

The Dual Enrollment program at Alma College provides high school students with the opportunity to take college courses on campus, giving them a head start on their college career.

Benefits of Dual Enrollment

• Save money on college costs, as high school districts typically pay tuition and fees for dual enrollment classes
• Take classes not offered at your high school, with access to any of Alma College's majors or minors
• Experience a college campus, including interacting with professors, attending class presentations, and working in study groups
• Earn credits that can transfer to most colleges, due to Alma College's academic profile and rigor
• Access to the full campus, including the recreation center, campus events, and resources like tutoring and career development

Requirements for Dual Enrollment

• Meet with your high school guidance counselor to determine eligibility based on your high school's requirements
• Complete and return the dual enrollment application
• Review the suggested course lists for available classes, and obtain instructor approval for courses not on the list
• Students can take one or two dual enrollment courses per semester
