Introduction to the Mastère Direction et Pilotage de Projets Artistiques

The Mastère Direction et Pilotage de Projets Artistiques is a 2-year program designed for artists seeking to acquire administrative, production, and project management skills. This program is tailored to artists with prior scenic practice, aiming to develop their artistic project in all its components.


Objectives of the Program

The primary objective of this Mastère is to empower artists, enabling them to become autonomous and competent project directors. This is achieved by developing a global and integrated vision of their artistic project, linking artistic dimensions with administrative and management aspects.


Program Structure

The program is structured into 5 units of teaching, each focusing on a specific aspect of project management and artistic direction:


  1. Understanding the cultural and professional environment
  2. The role of the artist in project management
  3. Exploring territories and publics
  4. Decentralization of culture in France and local implantations
  5. Evolution and mutation of the artist's profession

Teaching Methods

The program employs innovative pedagogy, centered on the artistic project and its deployment through project direction and administration. This approach includes:

Project Work

Students are required to work on two main projects: a group project in the first year, responding to an artistic project call for a performance venue, and a personal project in the second year, creating and producing a spectacle.


Admission Criteria

To be eligible, candidates must have a confirmed practice as a scene artist (acting, directing, writing) and be capable of articulating creation and project management. A level equivalent to Bac+3 is expected for the Mastère.


Certification

The program prepares students for the certification "Administrateur de projets artistiques et culturels" (RNCP n° 39360, level 7), recognized by France Compétences.


Competencies Acquired

Upon completion, students will have acquired competencies in:


  • Elaborating an artistic and cultural project
  • Implementing a creation project for stage arts
  • Exploring atypical territories and publics
  • Piloting artistic projects
  • Establishing financing and partnership strategies

Duration and Tuition Fees

The program lasts 2 years, with 450 hours of face-to-face pedagogy and exams each year. The tuition fee for the first year (M1) is 8,400.
