Program Overview
The Certificate in Beauty Therapy is a Level 4 program designed to prepare students for immediate employment in the beauty industry or provide a pathway to further education.
Course Content
The program covers a broad range of beauty therapy services, including:
- Waxing, facials, massage, and the use of electrical equipment
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of the skin and body
- Valuable real-world experience in a professional spa setting
- Techniques for express and full manicures and pedicures, including massage, gel polish application and removal, nail art, and specialized treatments for hands and feet
- Key professional abilities such as client management, small business operations, health and safety, and industry best practices
- A strong foundation in anatomy & physiology, diseases & disorders, chemistry, product knowledge, and nutrition for the skin

- Beauty Therapist

Entry Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be aged 16 or older at the start of the program
- Have completed a Level 3 Certificate in Beauty or equivalent qualification, or NCEA Level 2 or equivalent secondary education from a recognized institution
- Participate in an interview to assess eligibility and suitability for the program
Technical Requirements
A computer/laptop, microphone, and reliable internet connection are required for learning. Phones are not suitable devices for supporting study.
Domestic Course Costs
- Tuition Fees: $13,658
- Course Consumable Cost: $2,114.00
- Student Services Levy: $410
- Uniform cost: ranges from $140.50 to $380 depending on the uniform items selected
- Device required: Laptop (cellphones aren't acceptable as a device)
International Students
- Must be 18 years or older (or provide proof of living with a parent/guardian if under 18)
- Demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS Level 5.5 (Academic), with no band less than 5
- Tuition fees: $26,000.00
- Course fee: $2,000.00
Additional Requirements
The program requires 37.5 learning hours per week, which includes approximately 22 contact hours and 15.5 non-contact hours. Students will participate in hands-on training and industry-related activities.
