The BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership reflects the role of individuals who apply advanced knowledge and skills in a range of strategic leadership and management roles. Course Overview

This course is delivered over 52 weeks, comprising 40 study weeks and a total of 12 weeks of breaks. The BSB80320 Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership reflects the role of individuals who apply advanced knowledge and skills in a range of strategic leadership and management roles.

  • Melbourne Campus: Suite 301, Level 3, 201 Fitzroy Street, ST KILDA VIC 3182; Operating Hours: Mon – Fri 9:00 – 17:30

Entry Criteria

  • Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age at enrolment.
  • Have sound English literacy skills:
    • Provide IELTS certificate showing an overall band 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0), or
    • Undertake Choice Business College's Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment and achieve the following ACSF Levels:
      • Learning – Level 4
      • Reading – Level 4
      • Writing – Level 4
      • Oral Communication – Level 4
      • Numeracy – Level 4
  • Other:
    • Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in related fields of study and 3 years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
    • Or have completed a Bachelor degree in a related field of study and 2 years full-time equivalent relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
    • Or have 5 years full-time equivalent relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.

Course Credit

Credit Transfer is the recognition of learning achieved through formal education and training. Students may apply for credit transfer by submitting an authenticated copy of their previously attained AQF documentation for review.


Recognition of Prior Learning

All students are offered the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) at enrolment. Students may be granted credit or partial credit in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience, and/or prior training.


Course Outcome (Awards)

  • Successful completion of all eight (8) units of competencies required to be awarded with an AQF certification.
  • Partial completions will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment.

Assessment Methods

Assessments may be conducted through a combination of the following methods:


  • Type A: Underpinning Knowledge Questionnaire
  • Type B: Project
  • Type C: Practical

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

All students are required by the Australian Government to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). If a student does not have a USI, the credential (Certificate & Transcript, or Statement of Attainment) cannot be issued.
