Course Overview
The course MMPA 533: New Zealand Taxation is designed to prepare students for the CAANZ taxation exam as part of the CA Masters Pathway. The course is based on teaching materials supplied by CAANZ.

Course Objectives
Students who pass this course should be able to:
- Apply technical knowledge to a range of transactions and events to determine the tax consequences
- Examine and advise on the taxation consequences of a range of transactions and events
- Apply an ethical and socially responsible approach to determining taxation consequences
- Evaluate future changes that impact the taxation environment
Course Delivery
This course is optimised for face-to-face delivery on campus. Lectures can be accessed via synchronous (live-stream) Zoom, and all lectures will be recorded and available throughout the course. There are no assessments requiring in-person attendance.
