RN-to-BSN Admission and Enrollment

Admission requirements and enrollment procedures are outlined in the program handbook. Students can transfer in up to 86 credits and must complete the remaining credits at Purdue University Northwest.

RN-to-BSN Cost and Payments

The program offers a promotional scholarship for new students, and additional tuition reductions/scholarships are available to eligible individuals. The total tuition for the 34 nursing credits required at PNW is $13,882.88, but scholarships can reduce this cost to $10,604.88.

RN-to-BSN Course Registration

Students can begin the RN-to-BSN program by taking nursing courses, non-nursing courses, or both simultaneously. The curriculum is designed to have students focus on one course over a 5-week period, with the exception of NUR 39100 and NUR 39401, which are taken concurrently.

RN-to-BSN Coursework and Grading

The program consists of 12 required nursing courses and 56 non-nursing credits. Students must complete all outstanding nursing and non-nursing courses before enrolling in the capstone course. The program learning outcomes include:

• Demonstrating effective communication while collaborating therapeutically and effectively with healthcare system stakeholders

Program Completion Time

The RN-to-BSN degree program can be completed in as few as 16 months on the standard track or 10 months on the PowerPath track, pending review and approval of all transfer credits. There is no maximum time limit for finishing the RN-to-BSN program, but students should be aware that degree completion requirements are subject to change over time.
