This course explores how intelligence cooperation works between states and authorities, with a focus on international signals intelligence. The course provides technical foundations, methods for analysis, and perspectives on democratic values.

Course Description

The course covers both international intelligence cooperation between different states and intelligence cooperation at the national level between different types of authorities and corresponding actors. Particular emphasis is placed on international intelligence cooperation in signals intelligence.

Course Objectives

• To provide students with a broad and interdisciplinary foundation in intelligence analysis
• To give students technical knowledge of how signals intelligence works
• To introduce students to various methods of intelligence analysis
• To discuss different perspectives on how intelligence activities and cooperation can be understood in relation to democratic values

Course Structure

• The course includes a moment that aims to provide students with basic knowledge of how signals intelligence works on a technical level
• The course also covers a selection of intelligence methods as examples of how acquired information can be analyzed
• The course will address different perspectives on how intelligence activities and cooperation can be understood in relation to democratic values

Admission Requirements

• Basic eligibility + English 6
• Alternatively: English level 2

• Free of charge for citizens within the EU
• Total price for the program/course: 6,250 SEK
• First payment: 6,250 SEK
• Citizens from outside the EU/EES and Switzerland must pay tuition fees
