Introduction to BSc (Hons) Business and Entrepreneurship
The BSc (Hons) Business and Entrepreneurship course is a dynamic, practice-focused programme designed to equip students with the essential skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to make meaningful contributions to socio-economic development and the wider national and international business community.
Course Overview
This course is perfect for individuals with an entrepreneurial drive to start their own business empire. It covers various aspects of business and entrepreneurship, including data analytics, AI, entrepreneurial thinking, consumer behaviour, business strategy, and sales and negotiation. Course Structure
The course is divided into three years, with each year focusing on different aspects of business and entrepreneurship.
- First Year: Laying the groundwork and exploring the fundamentals of business, entrepreneurship, and personal development.
- Second Year: Building on the foundation by identifying real-world challenges and crafting innovative solutions.
- Final Year: Centring around entrepreneurial activities, including financing new ventures and business ideas, scaling up businesses, and collaborating with live clients and local businesses to solve real-world business problems.
Professional Placement Year
This course offers an optional professional placement year, which allows students to spend a whole year with an employer, following successful completion of their second year. The placement year is a great way to find out more about a chosen career, and some students even return to the same employers after completing their studies.
Accreditation
The course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), which means that students can achieve the Level 5 CMI Certificate in Management and Leadership alongside their degree.
Entry Requirements
The standard offer for this course is 112 UCAS Tariff points. The course also requires GCSE and other level 2 qualifications, as well as A Level, BTEC, and other level 3 qualifications. International students must obtain a minimum of 28 points overall in the International Baccalaureate Diploma and have an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each band.
Fees and How to Apply
The annual tuition fee for UK students is Ł9,790, while international students pay Ł18,570. Students can apply through UCAS or directly to the university.
