Program Overview

The Business Analytics Certificate program is designed to cover the managerial aspects of business analytics related skills required to handle "big" data in the modern business world.

Program Requirements

To complete the certificate, participants must fulfill the following requirements:

• Complete the required courses with a grade of "C" or higher.
• Finish at least 9 semester hours at UWF Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business.
• Meet all prerequisites to enroll in the courses.
• Secure a combined grade point average of 2.5 or higher for the courses required by the certificate.

Eligibility

Business Intelligence minors are not eligible to pursue the Business Analytics certificate.

Curriculum

The program consists of the following courses:

• ISM 3011: Business Systems Fundamentals (3 credits)
• ISM 3116: Introduction to Business Analytics (3 credits)
• ISM 4481: Business Data Management (3 credits)
  • Choose one of the following two courses:
    • QMB 3820: Introduction to Quantitative Models for Business Decisions (3 credits)
    • MAN 3550: Prescriptive Analytics (3 credits)

Total Program Hours

The total hours required to complete the program is 12.
