Theatre Arts Education (B.A.)

The Theatre Arts Education program is designed for individuals who wish to teach theatre arts in a secondary school setting. This program leads to a supplemental endorsement in secondary theatre education when combined with a primary area endorsement.

Program Overview

The program requires 84 hours of coursework, including 45 hours of required courses. Students will pursue a well-rounded theatre curriculum and work closely with faculty to gain foundational knowledge and skills in areas such as acting, directing, costuming, scenography, playwriting, theatre history, and management.

A study of the theory and practice of stage makeup, with a final project involving the supervised design and execution of makeup for a major production.
