Research Internship Program
Overview
The CRFM offers a research internship program for graduate-level students and community researchers. The program provides a 10-week internship in Saskatchewan to carry out field work connected with their research.
Admissibility
To be admissible, projects must focus on a topic related to one of the following research areas:
- Community engagement and development
- Cultural and national inclusion and differentiation
- Transmission and expansion of heritage
- Language, socialization, and learning Projects must also:
- Include an empirical component with a population or community organization
- Include a partnership with a community organization
- Begin with the student's own research question and expand to include a question relevant to the community or organization
Eligibility
Candidates must:
- Have Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
- Be Master's or doctoral level students whose research topic aligns with the CRFM's research areas
- Be community researchers with independent research experience
Internship Details
Interns will receive:
- Community contacts from the CRFM
- Logistical support from La Cité universitaire francophone
- Work space
- Opportunities to discuss and present their research Interns agree to:
- Write a report summarizing the results of the research undertaken during the internship
- Present a public lecture at La Cité and/or in the community
- Write and submit an academic work
- Submit the subsequent results of their research to the CRFM
Compensation
The internship is paid to a maximum of $5,000. Travel costs for candidates from outside Saskatchewan are not covered by the CRFM.
