Course Overview

Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.

Admission Requirements
Age Requirement
Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the commencement of the course.
Academic Qualifications
- Completion of Australian Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- For certain courses, completion of an AQF Diploma or a relevant qualification may be required.
English Language Proficiency
- An overall valid academic IELTS score of at least 6.0, with no band less than 5.5, or an equivalent score from a recognized English language test.
- Alternatively, proficiency can be demonstrated by:
- Completion of an Advanced level English course from an approved ELICOS provider.
- Completion of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian Registered Training Organization (RTO) within the last two years.
- Successfully passing Western Sydney College's English Placement Test.
Additional Requirements
- International students must meet the Student Visa (Subclass 500) requirements.
- For packaged courses, students must successfully complete the lower-level qualification to progress to the higher-level qualification.
Course Structure
The BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management requires the successful completion of five (5) core units and five (5) elective units. Delivery Mode and Location
This course will be delivered 13.5 hours face-to-face on campus and 6.5 hours online per week.
Assessment Arrangements
All Units of Competencies (UOC) are assessed through a combination of assessment types. These may include practical demonstrations, role plays, writing reports, group projects, presentations, and written questionnaires, etc.
Student Support

- One-on-one support from trainers/assessors to assist with studies.
- Additional classes, tutorials, and workshops.

Course Credit
Students may apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge, and experience (credit transfer or recognition of prior learning) as per the information included in the International Student Handbook. The granting of course credit may affect course fees as well as the duration of the course.
